Welcome! We are the Traveling Youngs: Justin, Megan, Claire, and Avery. We are a family from Western Pennsylvania. We love RV living, traveling, experiencing new things, and most importantly, spending time together.
In 2018, we decided to make some drastic changes (including enrolling in cyber school and selling our house) so that we could focus on what was really important to us.
This site’s primary purpose is to record our journey and experiences for our girls. We hope it may also provide practical tips or inspiration for you. All the opinions and stories are our own, and none of our travel or touring are paid for by any company. Megan Clark Young
I’m the primary blogger at the Traveling Youngs. Justin and I have been married for 17 years, and have seen and done some pretty awesome things…chiefly had Claire and Avery. I was an Allstate Insurance agent for fifteen years, but am now focusing on my genealogy passion. You may notice many of our trips are in close proximity to historical sites, repositories, and cemeteries. It’s also why recording our memories is so important to me. I want the girls (or their children or grandchildren) to read this and get a taste of our values, our experiences, and our family.
Justin Young
I’m Justin, and I’m the primary driver while we’re RV living, which makes me the equipment guy. I was a history major in college, so I also like to hit historical locations. Once upon a time, I was a college golfer and later passed the PGA Player Ability Test. My goal is to golf at as many great courses as I can, and I’m thankful the girls enjoy golfing too. It is also a goal to visit all of the Major League Baseball Parks. I am the owner of the Young Agency with Firefly Insurance.
Claire Reed Young
Claire is in the seventh grade and in her second year of homeschool. She loves gymnastics and dancing and watching the sunset. Her favorite subject is language arts because she loves to read and write. She always looks forward to the next adventure.
Avery Clark Young
Avery is in the fifth grade and in our second year of homeschool. She loves soccer, gymnastics and swimming. Her favorite subjects are reading and art. She loves to explore and looks forward to seeing and learning new things.
